Excellent vibes and even more wonderful people running this joint! Thank you for being so kind to us. We walked by and despite being tourists in Japan and wanting to eat mostly Japanese food, the delicious smell kept bringing us back. We ended up stopping by on a Monday night. To start, we had chips and guac, which were just okay, but you’re really here for the main event anyways. We got two burritos - pork, which is shredded in a mildly sweet BBQ sauce, and beef, which is a savory seasoned ground beef. We were really impressed by the tortilla quality (I imagine these must be difficult to come by in Japan or are home-made), the bruléed cheese (adds a nice char), and quantity/freshness of veggies in the burrito. The burrito is served grilled/pressed and the rice inside is surprisingly not short-grain Japanese-style rice, but a long grain cousin. This attention to detail is greatly appreciated! The beans are also nothing to sneeze at. Served on the side, the hot sauce is delicious (it’s giving blended Tostitos mild) and adds a lot of flavor without adding any heat. If you’re looking for spicy, this probably won’t hit, but for flavorful burritos in Japan (!!) this is as good as it gets. Thank you for a fantastic experience!...
Read moreI've really loved this place and been going to the main store for a year and this one after the main store closed but lately there has just been many infuriating moments (nothing to do with the food however). It's been quite busy this and last month due to the influx of tourists and Que Pasa is already a super popular spot as it is ... One time I was here, the shop closed early because they ran out of ingredients which I understand. Another few times other customers didn't know you had to order at the counter first and just rushed to the seats instead of queuing up first (while skipping the line). There's just been confusion around how to order and queue which has made going here frustrating.
This has been affecting my experience here lately, though I fully understand that this isn't really anyone's fault. I understand that there are only two or three people in the store at the time so they can't have any more people pay attention to the queue or guiding people how to queue and order. It's been happening on three different occasions and it may just be my luck - this place still has the best burritos for the best price...
Read moreGreat atmosphere, reasonable prices, and delicious nachos.
You order and pay before sitting. And wait outside if there’s someone ahead of you.
First visit, we were surprised to hear they were all out of beef—at 19:45 on a Monday night, when their dinner service had started at 17:30… (Possibly a supply-chain issue?) In fact, it seemed like half the menu next to the register was covered with tape because the items were sold out. However, when the cashier saw our disappointment from missing out on nachos, she offered to have the dish made with chicken instead. It was SO good! (Tbh, the next time I visited I ordered the regular nachos, made with beef, and I actually prefer the chicken!)
On our way out we noticed there was also a menu on the door, but it hadn’t been fully updated to reflect the then-unavailable dishes.
Sadly I can only describe their burritos as… mushy. Even though the tortilla is cooked and thus crispy. They taste good but are severely lacking in texture. I have tried their burritos twice, was disappointed both times, gave up by my third visit and got just...
