Great place and recently opened. The food was out of this world! The coffee was refreshing and the atmosphere was perfect. Kenzo-san is a great fellow as well, very friendly and warm (great English too!) If you want good food with a great environment come on down and get a plate! Update: Went back for lunch, haha got the apple pie and a coffee. As always Kenzo-san was a great host. He greeted me with a lot of warmth and good cheer. We ended up talking for some hours and having a really good time. His pie is really really good. Whole apple slices and the ice cream was like velvet. Please, if you are in the area check his restaurant out. (Added a photo of the pie)

The hot ruby chocolate was a unique treat with its smooth, berry-like flavor. Overall, Gobo Gobo is a cozy spot with friendly service, ideal for breakfast or brunch in Kyoto. Kenzo is really helpful as gave us a lot of good suggestions of places to try out during our stay here. Highly recommend to check out while you’re here

I had the bacon and egg toast with the gobo tea, which was a fantastic meal to start the morning. The gobo tea in particular was unique and tasty! Also, the owner speaks very good English, so if you're an English speaker that isn't great with Japanese (like me) you'll have no problem communicating

I went here for breakfast and was very glad I did! It was a nice, cozy cafe with a very delicious menu and a welcoming atmosphere and owner. I had the bacon and egg toast with the gobo tea, which was a fantastic meal to start the morning. The gobo tea in particular was unique and tasty! This place is the best! And the proprietor, Ken, is a lifesaver! I was able to charge my phone with his charger, use his iPad to find my way, enjoy a great cup of coffee and great food, but most of all to chat with him. He is very pleasant and helpful. I had the hotel next door call a taxi as I was in a rush to get to a specific entrance in the Kyoto train station and Ken spoke to the driver to let him know precisely where to take me....
