Discrimination, Bad Attitude, Dishonesty!! Worst Christmas ever!!!! As an Asian, I never expected weāll face DISCRIMINATION in Asia country!!!!
We saw the queue inside the restaurant so we asked nicely ātable for two pleaseā, then the staff started showing a impatient look on his face and ask me to say again so I repeat ātable for two pleaseā. Then the staff said ājust wait there, people are waiting too.ā Im shocked by his attitude given that I asked very nicely and I really didnāt expect that coming.
The restaurant is full of customers, any people with common sense will know that is gonna be a queue, and we do also, so that we are just expecting maybe that will be a ticket for the queue or something that is really bad perception that the staff think that we donāt, i donāt know if that is all about our Asian face or something else. Plus, once he saw my boyfriend the smile is coming back again, I just canāt help to wonder that if the discrimination is against the gender or what
We went back for an explanation so we said we would like to speak to the manager. The staff was here and he refused to admit he is the manager at first. Even though he step out at last but there is no apologies given to us at the end of the conversation.
The explanation afterwards is not acceptable as although we are Asian from HONG KONG, English may not be our native language but still, we are not that dumb in English, the explanation he provided just to fool us around.
Not to mention he said āgo aheadā after we said we will file a complaint to the embassy. Itās unbelievable that you hired a staff who doesnāt care about your reputation and customerās experience....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was exploring the area around Tofukiji. Thereās some lovely little waterways and bridges to visit when the hunger pangs kicked in. I wanted to have a healthy lunch and I recalled that my favourite soba, Kanoko, is a straight shot south of where I was; right near Inari⦠but when I checked on maps it was closed.
I began to panic as my heart was now set on soba. However, one of the places I had always wanted to visit was Dragon Burger - the one I know is also located close to Inari - so I set my pace and began to head towards my destination.
As I rounded the bend after crossing the train tracks at Tofukiji the Dragon Burger sign here hit me and I began salivating! What serendipity!
I headed in and quickly selected the Yuzu-kosho burger which comes topped with Kujo welsh onion, shogoin turnip, cheese, yuzu pepper mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce. I also grabbed a large beer to help wash this down!
This thing was amazing. Perfectly cooked, juicy, soft bun, great flavours. A great silver lining for my lunch!
Staff are super friendly, engaging, speak some English and you can tell they care. One customer left his bag in the shop and staff put it aside for him; he rejoiced when he and bag were reunited. I smiled thinking āhow do you leave a bag behind?ā and then proceeded to pay and begin walking north towards my next destination.
30 seconds later a staff member from DB rushed to give me back the hand sanitiser Iād left in the shop! Hahaha! I thanked him, he smiled and trotted back to work.
Perhaps the burgers really are that good that you just end up leaving your belongings behind! Iāll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI appreciated the restaurantās use of fresh, unique ingredients and the creative approach to their burgers. However, I had an unfortunate experience with the burger I ordered that I feel is important to share.
When I took a bite of my burger, I noticed that one specific section on the edge of the patty was visibly undercookedāraw, rather than simply rare. Meanwhile, my companionās burger was evenly and properly cooked throughout, which made the contrast even more noticeable.
When I brought this to the kitchen's attention, the chef loudly shouted ārare!ā without offering any proper explanation and threw my burger into the trash in front of me. While they did prepare a replacement, the way it was handled felt careless and dismissive.
The second burger was brought out already cut in halfāpresumably to show that the inside was cooked properly. And while the center did appear to be cooked through, the same edge section as before was once again undercooked, just like the first burger.
As someone with five years of experience in the food industry, I understand how important it is to cook ground meat evenly and thoroughly for food safety. It was disappointing to see such inconsistent preparation and a lack of proper response to a valid concern.
I hope the restaurant can take this as constructive feedback and improve both the consistency of their cooking and the way customer concerns are handled. There's clearly great potential here, but attention to detail makes all...
