We found this little gem while walking around Kyoto. Like other reviews mentioned, it is across the street from Tohei Kyoto Studio Park. The food was very good, fairly priced and the owner is super nice and very attentive. We ordered Karaage, Ponkara, and Otsukuri Set (Sashimi set). The ponkara is breaded slightly differently from the karaage and comes with a ponzu dipping sauce. We highly recommend it. The Sashimi set was also delicious and the fish was very fresh.

Food is great, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and generally the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. We had the fried and teriyaki chicken meals sets which were stand out chicken meals both, and the sashimi and the omelette wrapped pork (forget the name of the dish) were also great.
