Kanzashi Kyoto Gojo — Restaurant in Kyoto

We visited this restaurant located on the third floor of the Aeon Mall Kyoto Gojo in September 2025 during our brief stay in the city. We initially wanted to go to a nearby sushi restaurant, but did not realize that the sushi restaurant opened at 5 pm (it was around 2 pm).

We ordered one of the sets, which came with 6 pieces of nigiri, soft tofu, a tempura plate consisting of tempura shrimp, tempura chicken, tempura mushroom, and tempura squash. There was also a choice of either udon noodles or soba noodles (hot or cold), a couple of mochi dessert, and two bowls of mixed pickles/vegetables. The food was filling and average in quality. Average quality in Japan means very good, but not exceptional.
