Many friends already recommended me to visit the shop. But too bad they are closed too soon at 6 PM so it was quite hard for me to manage some time to pay a visit. However, finally I came to this Nanaya Kyoto.
Their speciality is 7 level of matcha/greentea ice cream. From the very sweet one until the very bitter one. The staff told me that the normal flavour would be number 3. But eventually I tried number 4 haha... because thr number 5 quite bitter already. Next time I really wanna try the famous number 7.
Moreover, they also have any other standart flavour such as strawberry, mango etc.
If you came and wanna buy some omiyage, please noted that Nanaya not only selling icecream but also any others sweets and greentea chocolate. So please spend more time at the shop to pick your favorite.
The price range is between 300 up to 800yen. Depends on how many scoop do you want. The perfect combination is houji matcha + matcha number 4. Slightly bitter and sweet in...

Then they gave us many chocolate samples (chocolate with different types of green tea and matcha flavors) which were all delicious. We’re normally pretty frugal, but we happily bought a whole bunch of chocolate.
We plan on going back tomorrow for more ice cream and possibly more chocolate. IMO this place’s ice cream is better than the one in Nishki market, and this place has amazing...
