I was able to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine without ever having to set foot in Vietnam. Dishes like Hue-style spicy beef noodle soup and fragrant Vietnamese fried rice brought back the exact flavors I once savored in Hanoi. The female owner of the restaurant is not only warm and hospitable but also impressively fluent in both Japanese and Chinese. Next time, I’m looking forward to trying Bun cha and a cold Saigon beer.
