Quiet local place near Sumizome Station. I had the Kaisendon. The fish were really fresh and thick, and vinegar level in the sushi rice was really good. Price is very reasonable considering the quality. I think they have lunch specials which are even better value.

Found this restaurant close to our hotel and was amazed by the quality of the nigiri! Highly recommend the Kaisendon! Note: no English menu / chef didn't know english but was very friendly!

墨染駅から歩いて5分くらいかな。住宅街というのとは少し違いますが、商店街という感じではなく、落ち着いたエリアにあります。でも、ここは実は昔の「京街道」なので、世が世なら、大賑わいのメインストリートでありました。 それはさておき、お店そのものは決して大きくはありません。全部で15人も座れないんじゃないかな。それくらいですが、良い感じの「地元のお寿司」を楽しむことができます。 今回は、ランチの「海鮮丼」（ごはん大盛り）を注文。合計で1500円でした。 海鮮丼でもご飯は酢飯なので、それだけでも美味しいです。具は、文字通り山盛りなので、一旦下ろしてから、ゆっくり楽しみます。わさびもたっぷりですが、ちょっとお醤油が足りないかなぁ。まあ、この辺りは個人の趣味という気もします。 お支払いは、多分現金のみです。すぐそばに桜で有名な「墨染寺（ぼくせんじ）」もあるので、近くに来たらくるもいいのでは。車を止めたりはできないようなので、どこかでコインパーキングを探すのが良いかと思います。
