I discovered this coffee stand on instagram a few years ago and was intrigued by the aesthetics of the Cafe. When I decided to visit Kyoto this place was number one to visit above any temples or shrines. It is a literal hole in the wall. The sliding barn door opens to the friendly owner, standing and brewing a pour-over cup or pulling a shot of creamy espresso. In the mornings, if you come early enough, you get a free banana. Had one of my best experiences with coffee shops here. The barista was so friendly and kind, but it is evident that he is well prepared and had the opportunity to try a Flat White and a brew coffee.
The place is small and beautiful, so stylish in a very creative way.
You can sit inside or outside and pretty close to the coffee shop, you will find a river in case you want to enjoy a different environment.
Itโs been an amazing experience, if you have the opportunity to visit and want to get a specialty coffee experience,...
