Lovely staff, rustic food and great atmosphere as always 😊! I always have a blast at Les deux garçons. I have been in Kyoto for the past 10 years and I'm in a relationship with a low-key pescetarian lady. My diet consists mostly of pizza, sushi and ramen which I rotate through weekly. Being a meat type of guy I often bite my lip when deciding where to eat out with my beloved one. Les deux garçons is my scapegoat where pretending to have meetings, I sit down by myself enjoying succulent meat along with ungodly amount of butter. The staff is always very welcoming and service very genuine. No shallow manners with pinkie lifted, just true genuine people. Being French, bistro style of cooking is close to heart and the kitchen delivers everytime generous and succulent dishes. I have been living in Kyoto for some time, and in my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Kyoto and the best for French cuisine!

The atmosphere is always spot on. We are warmly welcomed, and the dishes are delicious! There are also great drinks, including a very good selection of wine, with natural wines available as well.

The variety of dishes is extensive, and you can easily find something to suit your budget. The portions are generous, so I recommend not ordering too much at once and then ordering more based on your appetite :)

Traditional French cuisine in a small restaurant location. We walked in without reservations Saturday lunch and had to be seated in the back under the stairs - a little cramped but doable.

They have set menus priced from 2000ish to 3000ish yen in 2023. We had the Set A, which came with some terrine, liver pate, jamon, and carrots. Main course fish, beef, or upgrade to Wagyu, dessert (a banana and ice cream with balsamic vinegar sauce) and a cup of coffee. I thought I asked for espresso, I got a large cup of coffee.
