Isozushi — Restaurant in Matsushima

This was one of the best meals I had during my 3 month stay in Japan. I ordered the sushi omakase and was served 2 appetizers, a large plate of nigiri and a soup. The 1st appetizer with the orange colored sauce was one of the best tasting dishes I've ever had. The nigiri was top quality, extremely fresh, and delicious. A small place, two 4 person tables and about 5 people on the counter. The owner and his wife are really friendly and the service was excellent.

The food is as fresh as you can get, and the portions are quite large and not expensive at all. The cuts of fish are thick, they don't skimp on anything.
