This is a new restaurant across from the entrance to Tsubaki No Yu Dogo Onsen, about 300 meters from the main Dogo Onsen at the elbow of the shopping arcade. A great find, hidden behind the Lawson. They serve Uwajima style Taimeshi (Sea Bream over Rice), a regional dish in Ehime. They have several different set menu options ranging from 1,100 yen to 2,000 yen. We went with the 1,500 option with a generous portion of Taimeshi, side soup, and pickles. We also ordered a side of Karaage (fried chicken) that was tender, juicy, and delicious. The drink menu had selections of regional Ehime sake and national sake. I was new to Taimeshi, and enjoyed it. It has a unique flavor, it's fun to prepare and customize to your liking.
