Yakko Sushi — Restaurant in Matsuyama

Honestly for the price… it was just ok. Passable. My husband and I had the set menu at 5000 yen each. For that price, we got 8 sushi each plus soup and appetizers. The miso soup was delicious and some of the sushi was very tasty, but overall in Japan that price is too high for the service rendered. We picked this place for the supposed friendly chefs but since we were seated in the back, I have no idea if this is true or not. The reason what I visit here is the rate in Google, but I don't understand. It seems to be a restaurant mainly visited by local old uncles. Just Eight pieces of sushi was 2500 yen + one cup of Asahi are toral made it 3800 yen. It's a mistake that I didn't check the price of beer with 'Autosi' in advance. The fishes on top of sushi are too strong and the taste is just soso. Besides, the old female employees had rough language and I was unpleasant of the impression. There are many better shops...

Friendly, mellow, and relaxed. We felt very welcome and at ease. Arrived about 8pm after onsen, and had a set menu of appetizers and 8pc each, with an added 4pc for one of us. Amazingly fresh and tasty.

A lovely experience after a long and eventful day, perfect way to round off...
