Hoozuki Soba-dokoro — Restaurant in Minamiaso

I had the most wonderful experience at this charming restaurant! We arrived just 40 minutes before closing, but the sweet lady who greeted us didn’t hesitate to check with her husband and offered us a spot, which we were so grateful for. She made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed, ensuring that we felt at ease despite the late hour. It was clear she genuinely cared about our experience.

She took the time to carefully explain the dishes to us, even though we didn’t speak the same language. There was absolutely no rush, and she made sure we had all the information we needed to make our choices. Her effort to understand and communicate with us was truly appreciated, and it made the meal feel extra special.

The food itself was outstanding – everything we tried was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portions. The entire atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and it felt like a hidden gem in Mt. Aso.

If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this beautiful restaurant for brunch or lunch. The combination of amazing food, excellent service, and the warm hospitality made it an unforgettable part of our trip. 予約して行きました。 南阿蘇方面の蕎麦屋さんで大人気のお店なので、予約されるのをオススメしますね。

予約枠の開始のタイミングでは・・・ 『ご覧の通り“ジイ”と“バア”の二人きりでお店を切り盛りしております。料理をお出しするのに時間がかかりますが、どうかご容赦ください』 ・・・と断わりを兼ねたご挨拶がありました。

蕎麦は、その日打った分を売り切りするスタイルなので。 お客さんの入り様で、早々に店仕舞い➟閉店となります。

予約したお客さんの分は、ちゃんと取り置いていただけますので。 まだまだ営業時間内でしょう？と思っても、すでに完売・・・と言う事に。 ご注意下さい。

実際に食べてですが・・・ 美味しかったです。

ざるでいただきましたが、蕎麦つゆは江戸蕎麦のように濃いつゆではなく。 九州・・・のように、あら？甘い！と言うつゆでもなく。 程よい感じで、蕎麦を浸す食べ方でも辛すぎずに食べられそうです。

ただ・・・蕎麦そのものは・・・ やや、ぶつ切れ・・な、状態でした。

太さも、少々不揃い・・・

多くの方々が・・絶品！ ・・とクチコミされてますが・・・ ワタクシには、美味しいんだけど。 それ程でもないよなあ・・・と言う感じです。

ただ！美味しいのは、美味しかったですよ

開店直後や、一廻り二廻りお客さんが回転して落ち着いた頃合いでないと、すんなりとは入店が叶わないようです。

実際、ワタクシ達がうかがった時はすでに店内は満席となっていて。 入店待ちの椅子に７〜８名が待たれている状況でした。 そこで、席待ちのリストに名前を記入してしばらく様子見していると。 一部のお客さんはウェイティングをキャンセルされて帰られてました。

まあワタクシ達も、店内の様子（席には着いてもなかなか蕎麦が運ばれていない状況）を眺めていて・・・ 我慢が足りずに帰ってしまいましたのです・・・シクシク😭
