とんかつ蘭 — Restaurant in Mishima

This place is just a corner away from my hotel, Hotel Gee Haive, in Mishima Shizuoka. I went here right after a long day. The place is old and the tables were greasy. Greasy good, if you know what I mean.

As I sat down, I was given a wet cold towel to freshen up and a glass of cold water. I ordered the Katsu set meal and a mug of beer. The set came with the pork cutlet, which was good but the breading was a bit thick for my liking. Go Han was good and all the side dishes were delicious too. (Chawanmushi, pickles, fresh fruit, potato salad, shaved cabbage with sesame dressing, and red miso soup with small clams as garnish.
