Good Ramen and Tsukemen. It seems to be popular with the locals. They don't have an english menu, but the servers are very friendly to foreigners. We ate the tsukemen which the staff recommended and ended up finishing every last piece of noodle. We also tried their ramen that was featured on a magazine - forgot the name - the stick of butter came as a nice and wonderful surprise of flavor! Definitely a good place to visit if you're near Nagano Station.

長野の人気店！旨い！ 平日の夜でも満席でした。 何を食べても満足な味と量。活気があって居心地が良かったです。 ラーメンは種類がいっぱいあって楽しいですよ。セットメニューも充実していて、お子様連れにも適していると思います。サイドメニューでお酒を飲むことにも適しています。 それからチャーハンと餃子は外せないです。美味しい。 「赤龍王」と「青大将」なんていう辛い系のラーメンメニューも魅力的です。 素敵な笑顔をありがとうございました！

At level 1 it was just at the top end of my spice tolerance, probably about what you'd expect from level 4 or 5 at a place in the US, maybe even a bit more. It's so good, though.

The staff was helpful and explained how to properly enjoy the meal before we started eating. The food was great and overall it was a pleasant experience. It was a little tight on space between the table and the wall, but that's more of an issue of my legs being too long. I could definitely see myself going back to try something new. (That is a huge lump of garlic on top of the bean sprouts...
