This was an unexpected gem! I was looking for somewhere to eat in Nagasaki, but many restaurants were closed for the afternoon, or were too far to travel to on an empty stomach. I almost passed on this little restaurant, but the acai bowl enticed me. However I ended up ordering an acai smoothie, and it was absolutely delicious! After walking from Nagasaki station to the peace park, and then atomic bomb museum, this smoothie was so refreshing. I highly recommend it! I also ordered a B.L.T sandwich and-- I'm not just saying this--it was the best one I've had in Japan! The bacon was crispy, the tomato was juicy, but not mushy, and light mayo. Plus, I don't know what it was exactly, but there was so much flavor in it. In fact, the sandwich and smoothie were full of flavors! If I ever find myself in Nagasaki again, I'll be visiting. The staff are incredibly kind. They are also English friendly, if that's what you're looking for. Like I said, this was an unexpected gem!

A cute little place near Urakami Cathedral. One of the best meals I’ve had. One day, I had the vegetarian burger and an acai bowl. unlike Osaka where I stay, this burger wasn’t just a soy patty but an actually veg patty with various ingredients, pretty tasty too! The açai bowl was also very fresh and one of the the best acai bowls I’ve had. On the next day, I also tried their banana bread and strawberry soy protein shake. Both were really tasty. The food here was so good that I didn’t even realize that I’d stopped looking at my phone and was just eating the food The place is a little small, not more than 8-9 people can be seated at a time

Home of the cutest litol poodle, Leo, Juma Cafe was a very quaint matcha cafe and pastry cafe that is a hidden gem that is the peaceful and beautiful city of Nagasaki. The matcha latee was flawless and was deep with umami due to it being Sonogi matcha that was used. The almond pastry was nice and fluffy. The owner speaks English well, and was very patient with me trying to fumble around trying to practice my Japanese. She is also very well travelled, and if you have a chance to visit the cafe, have a short chat with her! I actually very much enjoyed Juma cafe.
