Pricepoint for their menu is on the higher side, especially their a la carte dinner menu, so my review takes that into account because the expections were set high.
Firstly, the staff member working at the front desk as you walk in is wonderful. He's welcoming, friendly and up for a fun chat. The waitress who served me the majority of the time does what she had to do, but nothing more. They give you a bell to press if you need anything, rather than staff checking in on how you're doing. No one once asked me if I enjoyed what I was having either.
Secondly, the food. It went from bad to better by the end of my sitting. I started off with the "prosciutto & arugola" appetizer. What wasn't mentioned on their menu was the kilogram of cheese grated on top of the single slice of prosciutto covering a mountain of arugola drenched in balsamic vinegar. Hard pass on that one! For my main course, I had the vongole bianco. This dish was better (thankfully no cheese!), although it could have used some more garlic and parsley as well as juice from the clams (and pasta because there wasn't that much). Also, wish they'd provide some homemade bread on the side to dip in the sauce. Finally, I gambled on the tiramisu and I am glad I did. It was the closest authentic item I tasted all night. I was also very happy to see moscato d'Asti on their wine list. Normally a dessert one, can be enjoyed here by the glass.
Lastly, the ambiance (or lack thereof). The interior looks modern yet cosy and I did enjoy the homey decor and pillows upstairs. But then for them to have flimsy paper napkins on the table and a wet wipe in plastic is so out of place. Get some cloth napkins and provide actual wet towels if you're charging high prices in a fancy setting. Also, having to reuse my fork and knife for appetizer and entree is weird, especially considering they were caked in cheese from the start. Another thing I found strange is that for the first 15 minutes I sat upstairs, there was no music or any sound whatsoever. Sitting in dead silence for that long solo-drinking wine is kind of weird.
So, would I come here again? Probably not. The price point just isn't justified in either service,...

The Gateau Chocolat and the Muscat Tart were really nice. The Gateau Chocolat is very dense and uses darker chocolate than I'm used to in Japan (to my liking) so the cakes here will fill you up nicely during lunch time. Filling, but not too heavy.
The cappuccino was frankly quite disappointing, particularly the milk and foam. It just didn't feel like much of a balance with the coffee. Next time I would order another drink.
My girlfriend was satisfied with the soda (=...
