創作沖縄料理 幸 KOU — Restaurant in Naha

Just finished our Okinawa trip and come back to say this was the worst meal we had.

Traditional deco and atmosphere was fine. Live music way too loud. Gnats flying round. Food was overpriced and simply bad. Steak tough like leather. Trainee waitress had a great smile but didn't respond when we told her the steak was bad. We just paid and got out of the place as quickly as we could. About ¥5000 per person.

(Previous comments mentioned they offer free drink for ppl who gave 5star comments. Wonder if that's the reason for the high rating or it used...

The waitress her rolled eyes at us when we told her we couldn't speak Japanese. They charged us an extra 500 yen per person, but I couldn't tell if that's normal or because we are foreigners as there was no mention anywhere on the menu. Would have been fine if the waitress wasn't super cold the entire time. Food also not great but that is not the reason for the review. Also pretty sure all the 5 star reviews are for a promo they do at...

The food is absolutely incredible. The menu is full of high quality local Okinawan dishes and both the service and the ambience was great. They played Okinawan music and had the decor of Okinawa throughout the restaurant. My waiter Kazuyq was amazing and friendly and we were able to enjoy a good conversation after my meal. If you want to have a great experience sampling local foods done well I would recommend...
