I am staying at a hotel near this restaurant so I was able to find this amazing restaurant. (If you are staying at the Tissage Nest Hotel, make sure you stop by here.)
I was worried because it was informed that you need a reservation. I really wanted to try the lunch course so bad, so I waited and asked the owner. He said that most customers call ahead. Also, the restaurant is closed randomly on Mon or Tue or Wed.
I loved everything he served. I was asked if I had any food that I couldn't eat before he prepared the food.
The appetizer was shrimp. Oh, it was seasoned perfectly.
Then main was pork which I chose for. It was so delicious and tender. Vegetables tasted great also.
I added dessert & and coffee, and it was worth it. The dessert was served with peach & ice. It was so worth it for 400 yen. The coffee was also tasty. It didn't taste like cheap or burnt at all.
I highly highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves real French cuisine and would like to feel like well served. I can't believe I paid only 2800 yen, which is less than 20 usd. You can't beat this price with this amazing food quality.
I had a great time having a conversation with the owner, who is also a chef.
BTW, the owner feeds stray cats, and they might be inside the restaurant. The cat was sitting in front of the entrance the whole time. I am allergic to cats but had no problem.
I will come back with my husband soon. Thank you, Mr. Hosokawa-san for everything!
Read moreHigh level French style meal of four superb courses accompanied with excellent wine (Bordeaux) at reasonable price by the glass or bottle. Unassuming restaurant. Friendly staff. Google translate useful. We were served an appetiser (cheese souffle), a vegetable terrine, a dish of prawn wrapped in flounder wrapped in cabbage, stuffed quail with kholrabbi, daikon, taro and carrot, followed by an almond tart with nougat icecream. All superbly done. We sat at the bench and watched the chef work his magic. 20,000 yen for 2. Worth...
Read moreI am not sure why there isn’t a line out the door here. I’ve been in the area for three days and this is the best meal/experience I have had. Out of the way of tourism and an at home vibe. The Chef is extremely talented. You get a five star experience cooked right in front of you. The host is very kind and went the extra effort to converse with me even though I did not speak much Japanese. This place needs to be talked about!...
