Located only around 10-15 mins away from Naha Airport - Pacific Hotel was easily reached by taxi which costs around ¥1000-1200 but do NOT take the monorail if you are brining multiple luggage as 1. It is kind of far from the closest monorail station (15 mins from Asahibashi station) 2. Monorail is always overcrowded with people bringing big bags too||Overall the hotel is dated - hence they are to undergo a renovation in September. Room itself is dated too with musty smell upon arrival and that was because of the age of the product. I had to use my cologne to suppress the odour to make it feel more comfortable. ||Tried out the pool on two occasions and great experience - it's staffed and maintained well - nice to have some sun and fresh dips into the water during the heat - you need to obtain a ticket from Reception for pool usage despite being complimentary.||Tried their breakfast once and liked it - in-house guests receive a discounted price ¥1030 for a full buffet which in my opinion offers an extensive range of both Asian and Western options. ||Wifi is very strong and stable in room as well.||Overall it was a pleasant stay as my priority is to have a pool in the property which it doesn't disappoint. Will I stay again? Yes but hopefully it's when it's...
Read moreThe room was great, no big problems at all. It is a bit of an old hotel so the lights and AC settings (only low, medium & high) are controlled on a machine next to the bed, which can be a bit annoying at times. For example, all the lights turn back on every time you come back into the room and put the key in the slot. It was annoying since one of us was taking a nap and we didn't want the lights to go on but it automatically did... Wifi is only available in the lobby. Each floor technically has one but the connection is really bad. The service was normal, nothing over the top. Some new staff were being trained so some requests took longer. The pool is pretty small and you have to get a pool pass at the front desk before going, which seems a bit silly. There is also an eco plan where if you are staying multiple nights, staff won't come in to clean your room but will give you new towels. If you participate in this plan, you get a free water bottle for each night. Unfortunately, they don't tell you about this plan when you check in, I happened to read a...
Read moreThe dining area has a great view with lots of windows. Service was alright (some were awesome, some gave me the shittiest attitude ever and I only asked a question) but nothing to write home about. Same with the rooms. One thing that irked me was that it was incredibly humid in the room, even with the AC full blast on and it's hardly even summer. Wifi was nonexistent from floors 4-7, locked on floor 5. They only offer lobby wifi. Asked them about it and they said it was "under maintenance". Been there for five days and still nothing. Also, the instructions on the washing machine is incorrect, told the manager about it and he treated me like I was retarded. He still doesn't understand that I wasn't trying to reason with him about how to use the machine, but only to tell him that if you're going to post instructions, at least make them right.
TLDR; dining area is nice, the room was humid, wifi only offered on lobby floor, and they hired some people with the...
