After finishing our hike, we decided to casually explore the area before heading home. By chance, we stumbled upon a small stand selling beef skewers—and wow, what an incredible find!
The skewers were unbelievably tender and juicy, making me question if this was some of the best I’ve had on this trip. I’m not sure if it was our hunger or the unmatched quality of Japanese beef, but every bite felt like pure bliss. I had to pause after each bite to truly enjoy. The highlight, however, was the condiment they served alongside. I believe it was yuzukosho paste, which added an extraordinary layer of flavor. The bright, citrusy tartness of the yuzu paired with a bold, spicy kick from the chili peppers created a well-balanced combination that was tangy, hot, and absolutely addictive. A little dab was all it took to enhance the already incredible meat.
