Beautiful spot for lunch in Naoshima, delicious omurice and excellent coffee in a cozy place.
Reservations are for dinner only, so we walked in and got seats after a short wait. It was around 1pm; it's in a quiet neighborhood and short uphill to the door.
Seats are at small two-top tables, at counter, counter overlooking the neighborhood view, or tatami or private room. Decor is cute and curated, wood and books about coffee and food, pretty lights too!
The omurice is as beautiful as the photos and as delicious as it is beautiful. We got both the tomato sauce and the curry sauce and the rice is one of the most delicious ever! Not too sweet, not too salty, fluffy and easy to eat.
The coffee is excellent! You must try it, we had the latte and also black coffee and it's great with the cake of the day.
Really nice people too and a wonderful mini retreat! One of our favorite meals from our trip...

We ordered edamame, sausage from Kyushu, caprese, curry omelet rice, fried blowfish and grilled (or boiled?) red snapper. All of it was incredible! Red snapper was the best, it was prepared simply with local salt and after we finished the owner told us his father caught the fish that day. I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage you to try the...
Read moreNice coffee shop in Naoshima.
I came because the review are so positive.
The coffee shop is not on the main street, it's better to use maps to get the right direction. It also has sign on the road.
There has English menu, the staff there do speak English too. Many foreigner customers came to here.
I had a rice omelet with tomato sauce and plus set B, witch included salad, beverage and dessert. I choose chiffon cake. All of them are delicious. It's amazing there has such good food in the little island.
The old traditional Japanese house is nice, have to take off the shoe before enter.
Great experience here, if I came to Naoshima again, I will...
