六曜館 — Restaurant in Niigata

As the other reviews say, this is an excellent place to get breakfast in Niigata city. Very reasonable at ¥500. The only problem I found - and this was endemic to MANY places in Niigata - was that the air conditioning wasn’t on. It was already 34 C outside when I went. He had the back door open so there was a mild breeze, but I was sweating by the end and had a couple mosquito bites.

You won’t have this problem in fall...

Couldn't love it more! It has really cool atmosphere with leather and wooden furniture, delicate decoration and siphon coffee! All prepared by the old man wearing formal shirt. You can see the old Japan here. What a lovely place in Niigata next to the old stalls. I hope...

昼休みにたまたまいつも使う場所が空いてなかったため来店。 中は小さく薄暗い店内ですが、一昔前の喫茶店の雰囲気をそのまま残した様子でした。 店の中に流れる曲も一昔前の知らない洋楽。 ノスタルジックに浸れる雰囲気が凄く良かったです。

ただ、 たまたま団体客の入ったあとだったのか、カウンター席には食べた食器が片付けられずにそのままずらりと残っている。 店には店主のおじいちゃん１人だけなので、なかなか片付けられないのかもしれませんが衛生的にかなり嫌です。 案の定席に座るとコバエが飛んできてさらに不快感Maxに………。

昼は摂らずに飲み物だけと思っていたのにメニューがない。壁に貼り出しているわけでもない。 店主のおじいちゃんが注文聞きに来たので、メニューは？と聞くと答えずにモーニングなら出せますけど？と言われ、仕方ないのでモーニングを頼む。 出来上がるまでに20分弱かかる……昼休みは１時間しかなく、その間資格勉強に使いたかったのに………。 しかも待ってる間コバエが飛んでくる……。

たまたまタイミングが悪かったのかもしれませんが、 飲食店なので衛生面だけはせめて気をつけてほしいです。 雰囲気が良かっただけにもったいないという気持ちでいっぱいです。
