Boulangerie La Table — Restaurant in Niigata

This boulangerie has an excellent balance of savory and sweet treats. The semi-dry tomato, olive fougasse was crispy and excellent. The semi-dry tomatoes were rich and flavorful, bordering on overpowering, but the olives tasted deliberately underplayed in the bread because of the natural herbs and salt already part of a traditional fougasse. It was crispy and paired well with pasta and cheese. It’s flavor was reminiscent of focaccia, but it was much crispier and demanded a slow savor when being eaten. The boulangerie also carries side dishes, and I loved the Carrot rappe. The carrots slices were pickled to perfection, a mesmerizing blend of sour and tangy, and pair well with pretty much any main course, either Japanese or western. Of course, there were also desserts. The tiramisu was lighter than many others I’ve tried, and the coffee flavoring was a little too faint for me as a coffee enthusiast, but the creamy marscapone cheese was just the right amount of sweet. Can’t wait to go back and sample more of their delicious breads...

A nice bakery in Higashi-ku. They don’t have overwhelming choices of bread, but they have plenty enough choices. They also have a restaurant part but you need reservation to get seated. Looked good and I would like to visit sometime...

食パンが、そのまま食べてもふわふわモチモチで、美味しいと思いました✨メロンパンもメロンパン好きを裏切らない美味しさです。カヌレは、ずっしりもっちり、甘さ控えめでした✨次回はカフェでlunchを予約しました。カフェ利用の場合は、お店の向かいにあるカフェ専用の駐車場を利用してくださいとのことです。

12月某日 12時頃、カフェの予約はしていなかったのですが、席が空いていたので息子と入りました。 ランチメニューは三種類で、スープをつけたりで、野菜たっぷりのお洒落な家庭料理と美味しいパンが６種類もついてきます。パンは食べきれなければ、お持ち帰りできます。

カフェは4人かけテーブルが２席と２人かけテーブルが４席。 席によっては、隣の席ととても近いので、ゆったりした席で食事を楽しみたい方には、ちょっと向かないかも。 おしゃべりに夢中なお客様の会話がもろ、聞こえてくるので、男性は苦手な空間かもしれません。 でも、料理、パンはとても美味しいし、接客してくださったSさんは、とても親切丁寧で、初めてだったけど美味しく食事が出来ました✨ 次回は息子じゃなく、娘ちゃんとlunchに伺いたいです。 ありがとう☺️ごちそうさまでした✨
