Meguri Coffee (Vegan) — Restaurant in Nikko

Beautiful old building with raised tatamj seating next where you can enjoy your meal next to large windows. The ambiance was perfectly crafted from the chill hop playlist to the minimalist lighting & decor. The center of the shop featured a few shelves were local crafts / trinkets were sold. There were two lunch sets when I visited - a cold soy milk noodle dish and a hot kimchi dish for around ¥1600 with a drink. There was also a sweet crepe menu available during lunch time. Espresso based coffee drinks were available (coffee, mocha) but only with oat milk. It was it possible to order just espresso. Hand drip coffee was also available. There was also a parking lot for customers behind the building. The only downside is that it took over 30 mins to get the food, so don’t come starving. Bring a book and get cozy in your zabuton...

A very cosy cafe that serves specialty coffee, tea and crepes with soy milk ice cream. The matcha latte was too sweet but the coffee was good. The crepes are very simple with only options of chocolate, maple syrup and banana. Not too varied, however the crepes were tasty, i would recommend getting the crepe with sea salt. What i especially liked was the ambience. It just begs you to spend a nice morning to chill over a good coffee and crepe with friends or just alone. Service is good however, food and drinks preparation was slow. We came in at 9:15am, with 3 customers already seated before us, there was only 1 staff preparing the drinks and food. I have just left this place and had to leave a review as soon as I could because it is perfect :) . The atmosphere was incredible, the interior is so cozy and beautiful. The music choice is spot on, instant stress reliever! I’m a bit of a filter coffee nerd and this place.. top notch. Great choice of beans and everything is presented so perfectly. But best of all the service!! After messing up our bus times we had to take our food to go unexpectedly. Despite it all being laid out on the plate, the owner meticulously wrapped and presented our food soooo beautifully and right in time for our bus/train.
