For those who want to experience authentic Japanese ryokan, this is the place! It has good room with a living area and garden view. It has wonderful big onsen (real hot spring, not just hot water). Japanese breakfast is delicious and wide spread. ||||Just take note, there is no shower facility in the room (toilet yes). You need to go to the onsen to shower. There are one onsen for men and one for women. It's a little awkward at first, but hey, you're asking for authentic Japanese experience!! ||||The staff is wonderful! The lady manager (Ayumi?) speaks more English, super friendly and cheerful. Very attentive. The other male staff are very polite and friendly too. ||||1 super plus point: they have free shuttle to take you to town and pick you up all the time. Just call them. Read moreI have to disagree with some of the reviews I've been reading here.||If you're looking for a shiny hotel to feel "like home", then this is not the place.||If you want a traditional stay for a fair price, enjoying the famous Japanese care and service, don't look any further and book right away.||This is an old traditional Japanese Ryokan. Yes the place looks oldish, and yes a few things have been worn out along the years. This is what makes this place so welcoming.||You feel taken back in time as soon as you step in.||The rooms are extremely comfortable. The food is great and very traditional. The Onsen is exactly how you should expect it in any real traditional Ryokan.||The cherry on top is the staff: service at its best, simply.
