This unassuming restaurant is run by a lovely couple who make amazing food! We really weren’t expecting much, but the hospitality and warmth of the owners really brought a smile to my face. When my husband had to go park the car in another location, they came and covered his food with plastic wrap and offered to replace it again when he came back (he was gone for less than 10mins).
Also, the food is fantastic - homey, hearty and with vegan and vegetarian options. My husband had the pork curry and I had the fried yuba (Nikko speciality) on rice. It also came with a delicious onion miso soup that was full-bodied and sweet. Amazing!
Did I mention the place is dog friendly?! A must to visit for lunch when you’re in Nikko!
