Pension Fryingpan — Restaurant in Niseko

First of all, the property name is wrong up here.. probably why i didn't manage to find any review earlier on. Should be Frying Pan instead of Flying Paan.||||Location: ||It's a stone throw away from the Annupuri gondola and is pretty easy to find. Once you get off the bus at Annupuri, just head left to the Gondola and turn right when you almost reach the gondola. The yellow house is the frying pan.||||Food and service:||I stayed there for 3 nights and had a very good time. There is a reason why it's called Frying Paan. The food there is very delicious and reasonably priced. The steak dinner set is only 2500yen and it comes with soup, bread, sorbet and coffee. It's really good steak! The owner saw I didn't eat bread so she offered something else for me the next evening over bread. It was nice and thoughtful! I ran out of cash due to excessive shopping in Sapporo and the owner gave me a free lift to an ATM which was not so close by. (That's one downside of Niseko, you can hardly find any ATM!)||||Facilities:||They charged by the number of persons and not by room occupied. So I got my own room only paying 5000-6000 yen a night. The room was nice and comfy. Despite quite some guests they accommodate, there are only two female toilets plus one toilet on the 2nd floor shared by both men and women. There are only two showers shared by all guests. Yet they manage to keep them very clean. You can really rely on Japanese for cleanliness.||||All in all, I'm satisfied and happy. If I go there on my own again, I'll stay there for sure. Otherwise I will at least come back for the delicious dinner when I ski...

I tried to go here 3 times over the last 3 seasons. They were always out of steak so I went to a different restaurant each time, but this year I was finally successful. We made a reservation and ordered 3 steaks. The steaks they brought for my wife and my friend were fantastic and perfectly cooked to medium (see pic 1). The steak they brought to me was a different cut and was very thin, overcooked to well-done and very dry (see pic 2). I complained, and showed them the difference in the cut and doneness, and they said they would replace it. They brought me back the same piece of steak and said they didn't have another cut of the good steak. My wife shared her delicious cut of steak with me, and we didn't eat the overcooked one. They tried to charge us for the overcooked cut, but we complained and it was removed from our bill. The service is good. The regular cut of steak they have is great. 3 stars for not communicating that they didn't have the same quality cut for all of us and for having to try 3 years in a row to have a steak at...
