FF Fortissimo — Restaurant in Nozawaonsen

We really wanted to go because of the fantastic reviews, so we checked the opening times on google and went but they were closed. We forgave them for the incorrect info because they seemed sweet. They told us to look on their website calender to check in future.

The next day we checked their calender, and indeed the day before had been written as closed, but today was shown as open. So we went, but was still closed.

Very annoying to walk all the way from skiing especially for this and end up having to go somewhere that we didn't want to go. Would recommend calling...

Stopped by this cozy, family-run restaurant for lunch and they weren't too busy. The food is tasty and the portions are good sized. Before your meal a small appetizer is brought out. The set meals come with a salad, rice, soup, and a small portion of spaghetti (if I had known this I probably would have ordered one of the mini rice bowls as I wasn't starving). Special little spot tucked in behind an alley in nozawaonsen. Family run, log fireplace with great classical piano music. Ambience 10/10 English menu, very attentive and quick service for lunch. Has a bell so you don't need to flag the staff. Staff only speak japanese but can understand English, bathrooms spotless. Facilities 9/10 Generous portions, very wide selection from pasta to fried bread. Carefully assembled, quickly delivered and fresh. Food 10/10
