Came to Japan on a whim because it is currently winter break in my Chinese host university. I don't know any Japanese other than basic survival phrases, so eating out can sometimes be iffy. Lacco Ameno is highly suggested by my Airbnb host, so I go with my friend not expecting much (Sidenote: I haven't had any real cheese in months, so my review of this place may be slightly skewed). After waiting for awhile for a table to clear, we order our food with the English version of the menu (I know the place does pastas and salads, but the menu I received only had pizzas). The wait time for our food was not long, with the staff providing us cold water along with our ordered drinks. The table we were at was directly beside the kitchen so I had a clear view of the oven. The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxed. The pizzas tasted amazing. I could sing praises about the crusts for weeks and it wouldn't do the chef any justice. I ended up going back a few days later to enjoy it one last time before I fly out of Japan. It's really an amazing shop that creates amazing pizzas. I highly recommend...

Both starters here were outstanding, the pizza was good but the pasta was really bad (overcooked and really salty for such a simple pasta) the waiter did mention he recommends pizza due to it being a pizzeria but I didn’t expect the pasta to be that bad.
