Il Bruschetta — Restaurant in Okayama

After 10 days of mostly Asian food we wanted something a bit more familiar. The salad was kind of strange with an unfamiliar green leaf and a tart seasoning. We asked for olive oil and received a small amount which we added to the salad but the tartness was still dominant. m My sea food pizza was also below par, a non crisp base, too much cheese and fairly tasteless sea food. Partners lamb shanks were very good even if it was on small sofe so they got something right along with the service which was attentive and good. I was expecting totally completely different because of all the positive reviews 😣 The food isn’t great at all - I live in Japan, and I can tell you this: the dishes in this restaurant are basically exactly the ones you can find in the local supermarkets here. Delightful italian restaurant run by a husband and wife team. We had a nice calabrese salad and grilled chicken and vegetables. Really nice tiramisu and cheesecake.
