Ippudo is always a solid choice for my tonkotsu ramen cravings. Although they are a franchise, each of their locations I have been to has different decorations and a slightly different menu. So it doesn't feel like a chain restaurant.
This particular location has gorgeous wooden tables and decor; I initially thought I walked into the wrong restaurant. The menu, however, is one of the smaller ones for Ippudo I have seen. And somehow, it didn't have fried rice on it.
I came here early for dinner, as I hadn't eaten lunch and was hungry. There was only one other table there, so I got my food fast. The taste was was amazing as always, but I felt the noodle portion was a bit on the smaller side because I didn't feel full after.
While I was there though, the chef and waitress were casually talking the entire time. If it would have been at a low volume, it wouldn't have bothered me. But she was loudly giggling every 5 seconds, as if he was the best comedian on the planet. I'm sure she could have found something more productive to do while waiting for customers. Maybe dust the place down, as there was a dust thread hanging right in front of me at the counter...
