Kiraku Sushi — Restaurant in Okayama

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

I would give Zero star if I could. I ordered 10 pieces of sushi and the chef was making my sushi while talking to other customers without wearing a mask. Isn’t it common sense to wear a mask while preparing food if you are talking to others? Especially raw food?

The 10 pieces sushi cost $3600 yen and honestly it was just mediocre. You can easily find sushi in a supermarket cost 1/3 of the price with similar quality.

After I finished the sushi I felt nauseous about 10 minutes later. The sickness lasted about 2 days and I also had diarrhea. This ruined half of my trip in Japan!!!!

If you are walking around confused at all the signs worried about not being able to speak/read Japanese come here. The hosts love to talk and ask about you and how you ended up at their fine sushi restaurant. I loved to share and other Japanese customers also joined in on the banter. This combined with the delicious sushi and wonder sushi box I had left me as an idiot smiling as I walked back to my hotel satisfied and already thinking about how I would write this review. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE...
