Guri-Guri is a staff-serve self-make yakiniku ( grilled meat ) restaurant. Love the place! The location is super close and easy to access from Okayama Station. Take the underground exit and head toward the path to Big Camera, then take the right at T-section, climb up the stairs and its there! (roughly 4 minutes or less walk ). There are 3 kind of courses you can have corresponding to the price: Otegaru, Guriguri and the last one which looks super fancy but I haven't tried myself; costs (about) 1900yen, 3200yen and 5000(?)yen. Free-to-drink pass is 500 yen for soft drink and you can choose higher tier ( which obviously, would cost more ) for alcohols. Lets get straight to the main part: meat. Its wonderful. Tastes good, the menu has a large variety of meats that you can try that even increases on higher course. Side dishes are quite handful as well, like stone-bowl-cooked rice, Japanese style fried chicken, kimchi, etc... Staff responsiveness is rapid, as expected from Japanese restaurants. There are also staffs that speak foreign language as well as menus in those language, so foreigners are all welcomed! The speed at which orders come to your table, though, is a little bit slow, so try to have a big order with multiple dishes/drinks at once. Each course lasts for an hour, and trust me, as a heavy eater, you'll be left with a full stomach and satisfaction after the end of the day ( as long as you have fast hands on the grill, keep your mouth busy with eating and talking with friends continuosly and have them orders flowing non-stop ). At register you even get a free gum! 10/10 would eat again...
Read moreActually i feel satisfied with the taste of the food. all the meat and side dishes are very delicious. but i am not satisfied with the service of one waiter in this restaurant. When we were grilling, one of the waiters came to our table and lowered the smoker a little lower while he shouted at us in a very loud voice and all the visitors who were at the other tables stared at us. It was sunday and the restaurant was crowded. At first i was very happy to eat here but after the waiter shouted at us, i felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave right away. Hopefully you can improve your restaurant service system, at least tell your waiter to speak in a normal tone to the customers because we can still hear well without having to...
