Yakinikuhidaya Honmachiten — Restaurant in Okayama

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The staff was very kind and welcoming and showed us the way with the little English they knew. There is t a n English menu, but you can get by just fine with google translate. We had plenty of meats, all of it was good but I especially like the beef heart, skirt steak, cucumbers, and ginger highballs. I would come back for the great service and cozy atmosphere. We tried the Kobe beef as well, which is why our bill was so high, but I would recommend sticking to the more traditional meats and trying the various organ meats that they have available. Oh! She looked annoyed when we were waiting to order. Our order got lost, and we had to order again after waiting a long time. It was really hard to order, She avoids eye contact at allcost so she do not need to take order. . No service mind at all. Great little yakiniku restaurant, my wife and I came here twice in two nights, that’s how good we thought they were. No English menu as of yet, but we had no trouble ordering just by looking at the pictures as the staff were very helpful.

Great food and drinks, all reasonably priced. We tried quite a few cuts from their meat menu, the vege/soup sides were great as well. We particularly liked their thick cut beef tongue.

Would certainly return when I travel to Okayama...
