We have already visited hale’aina HOA Okinawa twice and we are definitely planning a third visit. The food here is truly delicious, and the coral roast coffee they serve was a great discovery for us. This means a lot, especially since my partner runs a coffee shop in the center of Warsaw and trains people professionally in coffee types and brewing methods — and she was genuinely impressed with the quality.
We really enjoyed the plates served here and tried a little bit of everything. The garlic shrimp was definitely our favorite, but the steamed rice that comes with the plates was also especially good. The short ribs were very nice, the marlin fillet was excellent, marinated tuna - amazing, the whole Ocean Plate was a highlight. Special mention to the sauces: both the pineapple sauce and the BBQ sauce were outstanding. Normally we are not big fans of BBQ sauce, but this one was an exception.
The staff are very friendly, and it’s interesting to watch the kitchen, which is well-organized and runs very smoothly.
If we could suggest anything, it would be great to have the coral roast coffee available in larger portions, with whole beans to grind and brew at home. We would also love to see a place like hale’aina HOA in Europe someday, preferably in Warsaw,...
Read moreEasily missed but settled between several resorts and a hundred meters from Inbu beach hale'aina HOA is a treat waiting to be found. A clean, naturally lit restaurant, which can seat parties indoors and on a patio, invites guests to peruse the delicious entrées served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
With a tough decision, I ordered the kalua pork. The dish comes with sides of a leafy greens salad, a pasta salad with cabbage and carrots, rice, and a sauce. The leafy salad was bright, crisp, and not overly dressed. The red onions added just the right amount of punch to keep you salivating. Pasta salads tend to be slathered in mayonnaise but here there was a perfect harmony of penne pasta lightly coated in mayonnaise and freshened with cabbage and carrots. The kalua pork was perfectly seasoned, tender, and oh-so-delicious! It transported me back to when I was on Oahu enjoying this dish. Mix the pork in with the rice and feast like a king! Top off the meal with a comforting malasada. Warm, soft, and sweetened with the addition of brown sugar the malasada here was top notch!
This inviting restaurant won't let you down. I can't wait to come back and try...
Read moreYeh good effort. Got the meat combo plate.. not great, rice was dry that felt like it had sat out a while. Dry ribs that had to be saved by the bbq sauce which is nice but you only get a very small amount which is not enough for all the food on the plate. Asked for more sauce and was surprised they charged ¥100 more for extra sauce.. they should learn that you need to provide enough sauce in the first place.. terrible!! Short ribs are very fatty and the small bits of chicken are mediocre. Also got a children’s plate for my 2yo.. the dressing they put on the salad is tangy so young kids would struggle to consume this as well as the issue with the rice. Fruit in the menu looked really nice with strawberry too.. as you can see from the picture the fruit in kids plate… well. Nice indoor deco and ambience but nothing special about this place. The burgers look pretty...
