We were doubly cheated: 1) for the food we ordered, and 2) for the money we paid. The worst part is that it wasn't a coincidence, but rather intentional. Additionally, the quality of the food was extremely poor. I strongly advise against visiting this place if you expect good food and service. I've never given a 1-star review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience here. Encouraged by relatively positive reviews, my husband and I came here for lunch. The menu advertised a set meal including curry, rice, soup, salad, drink, and pickles, so we both ordered it. However, upon receiving our meal, we found only curry and rice. As we ate, I began to doubt whether we had understood the menu correctly and consulted the Japanese version using a translator, even though menu was also available in English. When the staff noticed our confusion, they apologized, saying they had forgotten about the drink. I then inquired about the soup and pickles, as the menu indicated they were included. They seemed perplexed and eventually asked if we wanted soup, questioning whether we were still hungry. We confirmed that we both wanted soup, but were given only one bowl, which was actually just a cup, to share between us. As a result, we did not receive the two salads, two portions of pickles, and one soup that were supposed to be included in the set price. Furthermore, there was hardly any meat in the curry—only two small pieces for me and one for my husband. Overall, the quality of the meal was very poor. When it came time to pay, I had the correct amount ready, but they charged us an extra 100 yen. While this may not seem like much, it's unacceptable to 1) not provide what was included in the price, and 2) overcharge customers. It seemed to be done on purpose! It was a truly unpleasant experience. We will never, ever go back again, and I strongly advise against visiting this place.

First impression was okay. Normal izakaya size for Osaka. Bar and small seated area with 2 tables. Food: The food was excellent. I had the Cheese Naan Set. Very generous portions. The naan was HUGE! I couldn't finish it. They gave me take-away boxes for free. I was very pleased. The curry was excellent. I chose 中辛 (level 3 spiciness) and it was a little hot, but I think I could've gone up to level 4 without any problems. I had the Lassi drink, a milk and yogurt drink. It was sweet and could help dull the heat from a spicier curry. Service: Service was good. The cook and staff were friendly and recommended dishes when we asked about them. They spoke both Japanese and English as well so it was easy to converse with them and work out details. They helped pack away the food into boxes for us as well. Atmosphere: One of the first things I noticed was no music was playing. It was my first time going there, so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Also, one of the cooking machines close to the bar was constantly beeping. It wasn't terribly annoying, but I could hear it above the talking and other outside noises. Some music would've been appreciated to cover those ambient sounds. Anything would've been better than nothing. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Osaka!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spice Curry Bar, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a delightful meal. I ordered the Cheese Naan and Butter Chicken set, and I was thoroughly impressed. The Cheese Naan was perfectly baked with a generous filling of gooey, flavorful cheese that complemented the soft, fluffy bread. It was simply irresistible! The Butter Chicken was a highlight of the meal. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, immersed in a rich, creamy tomato sauce with just the right balance of spices. Every bite was a burst of authentic Indian flavors that left me craving more. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and courteous, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The portions were generous, and the presentation was top-notch. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations. If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu!
