It was the worst. At night, I went to a convenience store and returned to the hotel, put my wallet on the sofa in the hotel room, and the next day I took a taxi from the front of the hotel and realized that my wallet was missing.I was with a friend and I was in a hurry, so I didn't come back right away and left the room for about 4 hours (the room is locked). When I returned to my room, my bed was made and my wallet was gone.We checked every nook and cranny of our luggage, and even had security cameras checked at the convenience store to confirm that we had brought our wallets with us.I asked the hotel to check the security cameras, but they said that they were old and not clear, and that there weren't many of them, so I didn't know if they had a wallet.About a 2-minute walk from the convenience store to the hotel, I'm confident that I brought my wallet back to my room without passing anyone or being behind anyone, but I have no proof.I was told to have the staff check my luggage before reporting it to the police, but I was told by one male and one female staff to see everything from underwear to details. When the staff found out that it was not in the luggage, I was told that the cleaning staff had checked the luggage and lockers. However, I was told that there were no security cameras on the floor or in the room, so I could do anything, and I could not trust it at all.As a result, there is no guarantee that it was lost in the hotel, so you can go to the police. That's what I was told.I know it's my fault for forgetting my valuables, but one thing comes to my mind when I think about the humiliating baggage inspection and losing it in a locked room.By the way, there is no safe in the room. After this matter, when I asked what to do with valuables, I was told that there was a safe at the front desk so I could keep it there, but such an explanation was not given at check-in.I will never use it again, but if it is used, security cameras will be meaningless, so I strongly recommend that you put all your luggage in the carry case and lock the carry case.It was my first time in Osaka, and it was my...
Read moreThis older style hotel in Osaka faces the river however we had a not so glamorous room with a “city” view but nonetheless a satisfactory short stay room. Our room was very small with no allocated room for your suitcases but manageable, 2 King Single beds with only 1 pillow each, a small chair and bar fridge, and an older style “flat screen” tv. The bathroom was tiny but again adequate for our needs but having long legs sitting slightly side saddle was required LOL, the water pressure and temperature fantastic. The hotel is located above a subway station and a small shopping mall and about 8 little restaurants/bars. We had dinner ina traditional local restaurant on the end near the steps to our hotel (sorry forgot the name) which was absolute great taste size and price with great cold beers. As usual a good sized breakfast available to satisfy all tastes. A previous review stated no cooling A/C in autumn which I can confirm but in March it isn’t necessary anyway - accept that’s the way it is baby! Yes it is an older style hotel but the price of same, the location, the obliging staff, has very small rooms and bathroom but overall quite satisfactory for a...
