It doesn’t get more local than this. Across the road from our hotel was this authentic ramen shop where the chef is banging the crap out of a wok with flames reaching the cooker hood while everyone’s eyes are glued to the baseball on a small tv in the corner. We were warmly greeted by the chef who spoke English and were grateful for the English menu but still managed to over-order. You build your meal around 4 different broths for your ramen - soy, salt, miso or pork-bone broth and then add toppings. The fried chicken was INCREDIBLE as was their home-made kimchi. The noodles had the perfect bite and the soups were tasty. A definite must if you are in the area.

They kept filling up drinks whilst they didn’t speak English perfectly.
