A Culinary Sojourn in Osaka: An Italian Interlude
On my first night in Osaka, after nearly a week in Japan, I decided to try something different from the usual Japanese cuisine. I found an Italian restaurant near my Airbnb and chose to give it a try.
Ambiance and Menu The restaurant has a relaxed, warm atmosphere. The menu was somewhat limited, but there was a board displaying daily specials, which added some variety.
Dishes Ordered • Margherita Pizza: The pizza lived up to its reputation. The tomatoes were perfectly balanced, contributing to a well-executed dish. • Seafood Tomato Pasta: This dish featured a generous serving of shrimp, baby squid, and squid. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the tomato sauce was fresh and flavorful.
Overall, this restaurant in Tetchagaya offers a pleasant alternative for those looking to take a break from Japanese food. The quality of both the pizza and pasta makes it a worthwhile choice for an Italian...

My main concern was that the sauce was a bit too watery while made all the toppings fall off as soon as you picked a slice. While we were lucky enough to sit at the counter, we had the opportunity to watch the chef cook some other meals and they all looked so delicious. The presentation was just on point. The service was also superb. The waitress was extra friendly and welcoming which really made us feel at ease in the restaurant. Finally, the portion was a bit small for the price. Even though the food was good, it left us still hungry by the end...
Read moreThis little restaurant was extremely adorable and the food was simple and delicious. My girlfriend and I stopped here and were thoroughly charmed by the quaint atmosphere and especially the chef, who is also the waiter and, we assume, is also the owner. He is a very friendly Japanese man, and it was really nice to sit at the bar and watch him make us a lovely margarita pizza and steamed clams right in front of us. Go here if you just want a pleasant, intimate experience...
