This was my first ramen in Japan as an English-speaker!
I loved loved loved the whole experience. The owner was kind, polite, and talked a little English. He told us how he’d recently opened, and when we ordered our ramen, he pointed to the garlic and some spicy greens to recommend them. He smiled a bit and prepared our meals quickly - it was a pleasure to watch him work. The ramen portions were massive!
My order: Set B, with vegetable ramen, and sake. He asked what size rice I wanted (small/normal/large), so as a small-stomached lady I appreciated being able to portion myself. It’s a creamy broth, served piping hot! The chashu it comes with was incredible.
My partner’s order: Set D, with yumeya ramen, and a highball. They LOVED their food too :)
We walked away feeling very happy. It can be scary going in without a lot of Japanese knowledge, but I have no regrets!...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for some seriously good ramen, you have to check this place out. For just 830 yen, you get a steaming bowl of pure comfort. The pork? Thick, rich, and absolutely melts in your mouth, It's the kind that makes you stop and appreciate life for a second. The broth is deep, flavorful, and perfectly coats the noodles with every bite. And don't even get me started on the gyoza - just 50 yen each, hand made fresh, crispy outside, juicy inside, straight-up addictive. The owner is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Plus, he's got a menu in multiple languages, so no worries if your Japanese isn't perfect - you'll still get to enjoy every delicious bite without any stress. We tried the main ramen which by its self was incredible, but add in some of the garlic he recommends and my god you’re in...

The house special was delicious! The soup was so rich, the pork tender, the veggies refreshing. You must add garlic, or else you will regret it! My husband had the dandan noodles which were also incredible! The fried chicken was tender, tasty and crispy.
Downstairs seats 5 people and there is seating for about...
