Wurzburg — Restaurant in Otsu

Looks like you stepped into a Bavarian “Gasthaus” , service staff dressed traditionally, fairly friendly, not much German language spoken though.

Lunch menu,Sausage platter with Sauerkraut ( which was kind of missing, a bunch of not matching salad on the side though )?! Sausages, fairly large for Japan, the “ Bratwurst “ , nice, good taste , Frankfurter, hmhm. Laugenbroetchen, definitely frozen item. Ok but far from good or need to repeat.

Disappointed of the “ Zwiebelkuchen”, no flavor, where are the onions 🧅? Speck 🥓? Can’t recommend as it came with a horrible tomato sauce, why ? Completely unnecessary and mismatched.

Drink was an Apple Sparkling, ok, refreshing.

Expensive but the food is nothing special. The 3 types of sausage with fries was just mehh... There was supposed to have a spicy sausage in our assorted plate of grilled sausage,which is one of the reasons why we came here, but there was nothing close to spicy in our meal. On another note, the plates they serve the meal in are atrocious, you can't even cut the food in it without something escaping. The service and atmosphere is very good, the staff is very polite...

We went to eat, so we can't speak about the beer . It is a pricey place, so you would normally expect better food, but this wasn't the case. There was supposed to be a spicy sausage, but none of the sausage they brought was spicy.
