Sanshotei — Restaurant in Oyamazaki

This tempura restaurant is on the path between the Whiskey Museum and JR station so noticed quite a lot of diners are from there. Menu item is quite limited (which is similar to omakase for size selection only). We tried both the Tempura rice bowl and set meal, the set offers more side dishes and sashimi. The tempura is quite crispy with thin outer batter and the shrimps/ vegetables are quite fresh. For rice bowl the sauce is a bit over so you will need to expect soaked rice at the bottom...

Close to Yamazaki station, so perfect place to visit after Yamazaki distillery. Had tendon and takenoko(bamboo shoots) lunch set. Tempura made perfectly with good local ingredients, everything else served was also cooked very well and enjoyed everything.

Went during 2017 autumn. Owner Papa & Mama were super friendly although their English was not fluent. Helpful & recommended portion was suitable & food was good.
