Very vegetarian friendly!

Visited last night for a celebratory dinner and was truly amazed at the quality, presentation and creativity of all of the dishes. My friends and I requested a special vegetarian course menu and not only did the chef say he was fine with cooking vegetarian dishes - he really thought about and arranged each dish perfectly.

It can be so disappointing to have chefs remove meat from a dish and expect it have the same flavor/texture etc. as the original dish without any extra arrangement. BUT this chef went above and beyond. Every dish felt original and every bite was full of flavor. We were quite literally licking our plates after each course!

Cannot wait to have an occasion to visit here again. If you are a vegetarian and looking for a great restaurant in Omiya - I cannot recommend this place enough!

As an added note: the wine was also fantastic and I couldn’t believe how reasonable everything was priced. An EXCELLENT value for the quality...

Necco is my favorite restaurant in Omiya. The couple that owns it only uses local (usually Saitama/Gunma) vegetables and meats. The menu changes monthly depending on what is fresh and available, and the wine menu reflects that. Some dishes like the Meat Platter and Cheese Plate remain throughout. The food is absolutely fantastic!! We usually get 3-4 vegetable dishes and end with a main dish of meat (roast beef, duck, etc). I can’t recommend this place enough for a cozy intimate restaurant. We usually spend about 10,000¥ for two people with drinks, but leave happy and full! Much love to...
