Unassuming small shop located in a basement with other small restaurants. Mostly local office workers when I was there for lunch on a weekday. I was looking for miso ramen but the queues were too long. I stumbled on this tantanmen shop near Sapporo station. Wow! Order via ticket machine, give your ticket to the worker and have a seat. I was then asked to confirm my spiciness and numbness level of the dry white sesame tantanmen. It took a few minutes for the food to come out and what a flavor bomb! Noodles were el dente and the spice was just right though I would have preferred some fresh chilli 🌶️. The lone staff was a tall lad who did not speak much English but was very helpful in ensuring that we got our orders in proper. He was truly an asset n friendly too.
