The gelato was not that good, melted right away. But the price is quite high just for the 2 small scoops. I prefer the normal sofuto ice cream in a cone over their gelato. You could get better with amount and taste at cheaper prices. You can only eat in the cafe if you order a set meal. If only gelato, you have to eat outside. I consider the nature around the store was nice since it is at Hokkaido University. Maybe better food hunting at other cafes around sapporo.

The dishes are definitely on the pricier side, but service was good. Milk was not bad I guess, but my palate wasn't sophisticated enough to differentiate it from most milks ...

Marche Cafe & Labo - Perfect location for a campus stroll

Tucked right beside the Hokkaido University Museum on the Sapporo campus — ideal for a quick rest after wandering the beautiful grounds. It's also not far from Sapporo Station!

The café menu highlights fresh local Hokkaido ingredients like milk, cheese, corn, and potatoes. You can really feel their passion for the "local production for local consumption" concept.

More than a café — it’s a lab! True to its name, the space also promotes the university’s agricultural and food-related research. It’s a mini food science exhibit in disguise — fun and educational.

Ice cream lovers, take note! Soft serve is only available at the takeout window, while the indoor café serves rotating flavors of gelato. I tried the milk and matcha — both were super rich and flavorful!

I ordered a latte made with Hokkaido university milk — warm, creamy, and topped with a layer of melted cheese. You add the coffee yourself, which made it feel extra cozy and personal.

The dining area is spacious and peaceful — a great spot to sip coffee and read in total relaxation. No loud chatter, just a calm, welcoming vibe.
