We found this incredible plant-based gem close to the Hokkaido Shrine and park. So many great menu options to choose from. We left feeling extremely satisfied but overly full. We simply ate way too much. But everything was so delicious!!! When in Hokkaido, you have to try the miso ramen. The Veggy Way miso ramen is the absolute best ramen I have tried in Japan. So rich and flavorful! The noodles and veggies are perfectly prepared and balanced. My husband got the teriyaki burger. We also had to try the Hokkaido fried chicken (soy protein). Everything was so good. We topped the meal off with a soft serve Sundae made with soy milk and covered with chocolate sauce and crisp almond bits. I ordered the vegan butter sand - yuzu and raspberry. Pay heed - these are not small portions. We have learned to order several dishes since most dishes are much smaller. Not so here!! These portions are much larger. And their lemonade and ginger ale are really good, too. Oh, and some items are made gluten-free. Everything in the menu is clearly labeled. If you’re in the area, you don’t want to miss this place. It’s definitely...

Boy did we need this meal - amazing flavours and freshness from the broth and toppings meant our plates and bowls were left clean!
One bowl was the daily special (pictured) which was ramen with some mushrooms, seaweed, cress and tofu (in a form resembling pork?) and this came with some rice paper rolls filled with fresh leaves and veggies. The other bowl from the regular menu had a fermented brown rice base topped with delicious some soymeat and a divine creamy tofunaise. It came with a pot of broth to pour over the top.
Finally we finished with a banana, chocolate soy ice cream sundae. This wasn’t overly sweet (which we liked) and was a delicious way to round off the meal.
Mains were around ¥1200 which isn’t cheap but well worth it!
Staff were lovely and very friendly - they thanked us for coming and we would definitely return if we had been in...
Read moreWe were excited to try this cafe out because of the vegan options, and while the service was good and the restaurant is very nice looking I just did not enjoy the food. The miso ramen was very disappointing in that it didn't taste good at all. Ramen is typically a savory and bold dish and this was joyless and a little sweet but in an off-putting way. It may be healthy but I just couldn't eat much of it. The vegan chicken kaarage bites were better but still not great on flavor. I feel like they don't add onions or garlic to anything and I don't see why as those are not what I consider unhealthy and a cornerstone of good flavors. I am sure this place is for some people as it was pretty busy but it's...
