I walked into Pechka expecting Russian food, and while Russia does get surprisingly cozy with Japan so close to Sakhalin Island, I wasn't quite prepared for the cultural fusion happening on my plate.
The atmosphere is genuinely lovely, and the owners are absolute sweethearts. Live music was great and service was fine. However, the food was atrocious.
The "Uzbek plov" featured clumpy wallpaper-paste rice, paper-thin lamb, and khmeli suneli sprinkled on top—which is like putting ranch dressing on sushi: technically possible, culinarily criminal. Definitely coming back for the warm taste of...

The owner was super nice and we had a nice chat with her also. It's a nice place to enjoy a...
