Donbē (どんべえ) – Sapporo Asaichi Store
Compared to the branch at Nijo Market, this location is way less crowded — much more relaxed and local! It’s located right inside the Sapporo Morning Market, just one stop from Sapporo Station to Soen Station — only around 20 minutes total to get there.
A great idea is to eat here and then stroll around the bustling market — you get to experience a slice of local life!
They open bright and early at 7:00 AM — the earlier you come, the better. They often sell out before noon! I went on a weekday around 8:30 AM and didn’t have to wait at all — super smooth experience.

If you're a seafood lover looking to kick off your day with something unforgettable, this is the place. Great food, local vibes, and a perfect break from the touristy crowd at Nijo Market. Highly...

Prices for this absolute smorgasbord of seafood are very reasonable, at around 2500 yen for the dish. Highly recommend anyone visiting Sapporo to make the trek out...
Read moreI visited here with my partner and so far it's the best seafood I've ever had (and my family is from Newfoundland and his is from Rhode Island, so that's really saying something!)
Before I visited this restaurant, I didn't really like tuna sashimi, but after visiting this restaurant, I love tuna sashimi! It was AMAZING! I had the Tokusen Sapporo Asaichi-don with crab.
We felt welcomed here even though we are foreigners.
